Heritage

As a Chinese-Vietnamese-American, I feel like I have yet to learn so much about my culture and heritage. Although I don’t consider myself “white-washed”, I do feel a strong disconnection between my roots and where I stand today.

I’ve always loved scrolling through beautiful photography of China and Vietnam. The lovely Chinese lanterns and Vietnamese scenery make me feel homesick – which I find funny since I’ve never been to either country. But they’re both definitely on my bucket list.

I really do hope I’ll be able to visit Vietnam or China one day. Perhaps I’ll feel at home in a place I’ve never been.
