Unknown Season

Winter – a snowy wonderland in the midst of frosty weather. Living in California is fun and all, but living in the absence of such a season, the absence of such a festive ambiance, forces me to ponder over this unfamiliarity.

I imagine myself running through a woods covered in white frosting, cold air nipping my ears and nose. Throwing snowballs, searching for snowflakes, creating snowmen, and building forts – all while the sky remains an elegant gray. Winter makes me think of hot chocolate. It makes me think of warm fuzzy socks. It makes me think of falling crystals.

This unknown season I have yet to experience, I wonder about every now and then.
